Culture Within Newham are launching a new micro-commissioning scheme for grants of up to £1,000. This is for creative activity that will take place between May and June 2025. The micro-commissions are aimed at supporting new ideas and providing an opportunity to build experience in delivering artistic or creative projects.
There will be two micro-commission rounds, covering different areas in Newham. This web page is about the second round of micro-commissions.
Round 1 – Green Street, East Ham, Manor Park, Little Ilford (Closed)
Round 2 - Custom House, Beckton, and Royal Albert (Open from Tues 4 February)
What are Micro-Commissions?
We hope that our micro-commission programme will support artists and organisations with big ideas, who would like more experience of delivering their creative or artistic projects.
There are two different types of micro-commission available. One is a ‘Booster Commission’ and the other is a ‘Seed Commission’.
Here’s what this means:
The Booster Commission is for enhancing or adding to the creative, artistic or cultural aspect of an existing activity. The Booster Commission is for up to £500.
The Seed Commission is for creative, artistic and cultural activity. The Seed Commission is for up to £1,000.
We will commission 3 Booster Commissions and 3 Seed Commissions in this round.
