Culture Within Newham, the borough-wide arts programme unleashing new creative opportunities for all residents, is opening up an exciting opportunity for an artist, collective or arts organisation to work with our newly formed Children’s Board to develop a new public art commission for up to £15,000.
Our work is influenced and shaped by communities, and so we want to provide a formal way for children to influence our decision-making. This is why are launching a Children’s Board in September 2024.
The Children’s Board is made up of twenty children, aged 8-11, from four primary schools across the borough of Newham, East London. The Children’s Board has been set up to give young voices input into Newham’s cultural and creative offering.
