Plaistow Remixed
by Year 10 Tunmarsh School students and Matt Ponting
This 30-metre long mural on the fence around Tunmarsh School is a collaborative piece that celebrates the local area. The students drew, painted and collaged their favourite places in Plaistow, which were turned into cut-out prints.
The artwork challenges preconceptions and prejudices about the school’s young people showing that they are a creative and important part of Plaistow.
The illustrations show places that can be found within a few minutes walk from Tunmarsh School.
