Summer of Wellbeing: Self-Care Day Retreats
Overview
Self-Care Day Retreats are a collaboration between Yogini Veronika Gasiunaite and colour therapist Momtaz Begum-Hossain. Participants will be taken on a journey through craft sessions, meditation and yoga. Each day-long retreat will include a discussion on the theme of either happiness, self-love or healing. These sessions take place at Royal Docks Café and community space Well Bean Co.
The retreats aim to connect communities in Newham, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a mindful, creative experience with likeminded people, and to feel the healing power of community.
Self-Care Day Retreats was commissioned by Culture Within Newham as part of our ‘Summer of Wellbeing’, a commission aimed at supporting creative and artistic grassroots projects that nourish and support the wellbeing of Newham residents.
