Overview
Beginning Ukulele Lessons is a summer-long series of group ukulele lessons happening at Forest Gate Community Garden. This series was created and taught by local musician Misty Dampier.
Whether you're a complete beginner, looking refresh long-forgotten skills, or would like to come and show support and sing along, this event is perfect for you.
We'll start with the basics of playing this fun and versatile instrument and will be able to sing and strum along to your favorite songs in no time! 20 ukuleles will be on hand to use but those signing up in advance for the course will be given preference to available instruments.
If you have a ukulele and would like to join us for a refresher course, please feel free to bring along your ukulele. If you would just like to come and enjoy a sing-a-long in the garden please join us.
You do not need to know how to read music.
